Nemo, Obed River and Cumberland Trail
Nemo is a location where Obed River flows into the Emory River. It is a popular put-in/takeout spot for whitewater kayakers and also is a location for hikers to access the Cumberland Trail.
Directions:
Take State Road 62 out of Oak Ridge, through Oliver Springs and to Wartburg. Continue north on 62 as it joins U.S. 27, but turn left at Kingston Street (look for a sign to Obed Wild and Scenic River Visitor Center). Turn right on Spring Street, then left on Catoosa Road. Follow this road until you reach the bridge. Just before crossing the bridge, look for a parking and picnic area on the right.
